Mike Buddie, Director of Athletics, confirmed that Army West Point would join the AAC in football only in 2024. Navy, an AAC football-only member, will continue to play the historic Army-Navy Game presented by USAA annually on its unique weekend, the second weekend in December, as a non-conference game. The AAC championship game on the first Saturday of December may feature Army and Navy again if they finished first and second in the AAC regular season. After a thrilling AAC championship game, the Army-Navy Game presented by USAA was played the next week. Army football’s home game schedule will air exclusively on CBS Sports Network through 2028. Army will play Air Force yearly to maintain the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy fight amongst the three service academies.
