He manipulates his dimwitted henchmen, Lock, Shock, and Barrel, into kidnapping Santa Claus (or Sandy Claws, as Jack calls him). Oogie intends to torture and potentially replace Santa, spreading fear on Christmas Eve. His plan is ultimately foiled by Jack and Sally, who rescue Santa and set things right.

In a climactic showdown, Jack confronts Oogie Boogie, and the villain’s true nature is revealed. The burlap sack unravels, and the swarm of insects holding him together disperses, leaving Oogie Boogie utterly defeated.
